Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist

We are seeking a therapist to join our hardworking and supportive therapy team where you will have the opportunity to be trained in our Freedom Wheels Bike Program and also work with, and provide clinical guidance to our volunteers who design and build our customised unique solutions, meeting the individual needs of our clients when a commercial solution cannot be found.   This role involves working at the office, in the community and one Saturday approximately every one- two months from 9am-3pm.

If you love working with a diverse range of clients and would like to make a lasting impact on hundreds of kids and adults with disability – this is the role for you!

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide advice and information to clients and referrers
  • Working  in co-design with clients and our highly skilled technical volunteers, apply your clinical skills to complete customised assistive technology solutions.
  • Conduct Freedom Wheels bike assessments at our Assistive Technology Centre (which includes a dedicated bike riding track) at Northmead and at other locations as required. Meet little Avalon in the video below!

Grants Coordinator (Part-Time – 3 days pw – 0.6 FTE)

Flexibility to work remotely, or at our Sydney or Melbourne office

This part time Grants Coordinator role (0.6 FTE) has flexibility to work remotely or at either our Northmead (NSW) or Abbotsford (Vic) office. You will report into our Victorian based Development and Partnerships Manager and work within a small team of passionate staff across both states, who are committed to raising awareness and funds to support the provision of our service

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Determine proposal concepts by identifying and clarifying opportunities, goals and needs of the organisation to meet strategic priorities
  • Identify relevant grant opportunities for Solve-TAD and build relationships with funding bodies
  • Prepare and submit all grants by deadlines to achieve $560,000 of grant income for financial year 21/22
  • Complete acquittals to achieve project and operational grant budget
  • Assist in the preparation of partnership submissions, reports, publications and contributing to the achievement of department goals within budget and specified timeframes
  • Relationship building – able to initiate and build working relationships with philanthropic organisations, government, donors and / or customer service in a not-for-profit / charitable organisation
  • Effectively manage grant provider information on the database and ensure donor information is kept up to date and accurate and that information is reliable
